T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER

The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders to bid for NRA 2021/1324 FOR THE COMMISSIONING OF THE HUGUENOT TUNNEL NORTH BORE AND THE UPGRADING OF THE HUGUENOT SOUTH BORE ON NATIONAL ROUTE 1 SECTION 1 (km 60.00) TO (km 66.00) WESTERN AND EASTERN PORTALS

This project is in the Province of the Western Cape and is located in Winelands District Municipality and in the Drakenstein Local Municipal area. The approximate duration is 60 months which includes three (3) months for mobilization. CIDB Regulation 25 (1B) will be not applicable to this contract.

Only tenderers who are a CIDB contractor grading of 9CE as stated on the Tender Data may submit tender offers.

Tenders from tenderers registered as potentially emerging enterprises with a CIDB contractor grading designation lower than a contractor grading designation required for this tender, will not be accepted.

Only tenderers who are registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database as stated in the Tender Data C.2.1.1, are eligible to tender.

Tender documents are available from Wednesday 05th of December 2024 for free download from National Treasury’s eTender Publication Portal (http://www.etenders.gov.za) and CIDB Website.

A compulsory briefing session

A compulsory briefing session will be conducted Virtually on Thursday the 13th of December 2024, at 09:00am for a period of approximately 4 hours. The briefing session will start punctually, and information will not be repeated for the benefit of Respondents arriving late.

Bidders must send an email to the contact person to request the link to join the meeting, Closing date for requesting the link is on Tuesday the 10th December 2024 @ 12H00. NO link will be shared on the day of the briefing session.

Late arrivals (15 Minutes late) will not be allowed to participate in the meeting and their submissions shall be declared non-responsive. A tenderer’s representative cannot represent more than one tenderer at the tender briefing meeting.

A tender clarification briefing presentation will be sent to all Bidders who attended the briefing session. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure they receive the presentation.
